FORGIVE yourself as quickly as you can instead of directing unnecessary anger at yourself. I know how hard you are on yourself, and itβs killing your spirit. You deserve better. The beautiful thing about self-compassion is that it opens the door for self-forgiveness. Once we can forgive ourselves for our mistakes, we dial down the self-punishment for every little slip up and cut ourselves some slack. We can realize that our mistakes were just that - mistakes. And from that we can move on.
I forgive myself for having blind spots. I learn from them; they donβt make me a bad person. I let go of anger at myself. I trust that I am making great progress, even when I fall off track.
